The first and easiest step is to toss all five stones onto the floor, select one and pick it up, toss it into the air and pick up one of the other stones with the same hand and catch the tossed stone, repeating until you have picked up all stones. Further instructions available online on various sites, simply by googling "Kugelach instructions." Kugelach has been played for over 4,000 years or so. Many other games, such as Jacks, and probably most forms of dice and sticks, derive from some early form of this ancient Israely games.
