For example, Foods will provide alternatives when ordering food and drink at the Cafe. Simply substitute different words in the dialogue to tailor it to your own personal taste! Speak Hebrew! by Language Directors and Creative Consultants Naomi Sokoloff and Monica Devens is an interactive CD-ROM designed with both the beginner through advanced student in mind. Learn the Hebrew alphabet and beginning reading with the Hebrew Alphabet Tutor CD-ROM included with your purchase. Practice speaking Hebrew through exciting and realistic street scenes. Also featured is the eloquent melody of the recorder and a selection of the Psalms sung by a cantor.
This is not a complete course, but its a good place to start, especially since so many get stuck on the alphabet. This CD will teach you the accurate pronunciation of the alphabet - at your own pace. Once you've learned pronunciation and reading, the dialogue section is a lot of fun! You'll like the graphics of the Israeli city: the market place, food, friends, hotel, even the taxi! It's a cultural experience.
